Acoustic Engineer Manufacturing Systems

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the quality and performance of our products by supporting and improving manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and in-process acoustic analysis. You’ll work closely with teams across New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI), and Production to uphold RØDE’s high standards of excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage in-process test methods and procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Oversee and maintain in-process acoustic testing equipment
- Provide acoustic analysis and testing methodologies for new products and systems
- Manage and analyze testing data to drive quality improvements
- Investigate and report on customer feedback related to product acoustics
- Organize equipment commissioning, calibration, and validation
- Prepare operating instructions, maintenance schedules, and training for team members
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Acoustic Engineering
- Passion for audio and a strong understanding of acoustic principles
- Experience with acoustic measurement techniques and sound analysis
- Knowledge of microphones and recording techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros) and SoundCheck software
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and manufacturing instructions
- Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach
- Team player who can collaborate across disciplines and communicate results effectively
